US Congress Channels on YouTube

As the 111th Congress kicks into gear, many of your elected leaders are starting their own YouTube channels.

imageThe US Congress has made available on YouTube, HouseHub and SenateHub to facilitate citizens connect with their elected representatives.

On both YouTube channels, You can select your state to see available subchannels from the representatives  of that state and watch their videos. They’re posting videos direct from their Washington offices, as well as clips of floor speeches and committee hearings alongside additional behind-the-scenes footage from Capitol Hill.  This is a great way to find out who are your state representatives and understand their position on issues.

Note: the Bristish Royal Channel has been using this approach for while!
