A clickable download link found available at the bottom of President elected Barack Obama’s weekly address. The video download is in the high quality MP4, H.264 format.

We are not sure if this indeed is the sign of YouTube starts rolling out gradually the download capability to other videos or this just is for the inauguration occasion.

Don’t hold your breath, Google certainly does not want to fight another copyright infringement lawsuit. So this capability, once available might only be limited to user generated videos only, that is my guess. Nevertheless,  if you are frequent SolSie reader, you don’t have to wait. We shared with you quite long time ago how to add this capability just by using Greasemonkey script on your beloved Firefox.  [Via Arstechnica]
