Dell Europe launches an online retail store offering software, games and music.

Dell just launched its online Download Store in UK, France and Germany (more to come), the new service offers access to downloadable software packages, PC games and DRM free music albums and individual tracks.

imageThe service is powered by digital content distributor Nexway supporetd by Dell customer service.

"Consumers are very accustomed to downloading music and movies online, but many are still buying shrink-wrapped software," said David Clifton, director of consumer marketing at Dell Europe. "We’re now offering customers the choice to purchase the music and software they want, and download it direct to their PC from one convenient location."

Dell will roll out across Europe over the coming months. No world on US bound. [Via ITPro]
