DimDim, Web-based Conferencing Service
DimDim the free (up to 20 participants) Web based conference tool that we covered HERE, just came out of Beta with the release of the new 4.5 version. Dimdim is ready to go head-to-head to compete with GoToMeeting
and WebEx.
In this new version, Dimdim introduces “SynchroLive” Communication Platform, which is designed to “automatically scale its performance to ensure all live communications are perfectly in synch. The synchronized web browsing feature is one of the best things I’ve seen in any web-based collaboration tool. SynchroLive Co-Browsing basically enables you to share your browsing sessions with multiple people by simply setting up a room and sending its dedicated URL to other participants. SynchroLive will then let your guests see what you see as you navigate the web. This works for videos as well, with the ability to simultaneously watch streams and talk / chat with other attendees. Another welcome addition is a 2-way video chat feature.”

There are more web-meeting services out there. spreed.com is my favourite – even webex cannot reach its easy-to-use interface in combination with really good functuality. It always works when I use it and has all the nice features you expect – even more: Screen-Sahring, Co-Browsing, Remote-Control. And all available in the free version as well.
