T-Mobile’s retention plan $50 unlimited

According to Reuters, T-Mobile USA is offering a special $50 per month unlimited voice service plan to its loyal customers who have been on T-Mobile services for at least 22 months. For new customers, T-Mobile offers a $135 rebate when switching from a competitor.

This is a reaction to a very slow rate of adoption of T-Mo customers versus the big gain from AT&T and Verizon 2.1 and 1.9 new users respectively during the 4th quarter. 

T-Mobile only added a modest 600,000 new users, meanwhile, Sprint Nextel continues to lose customers, shedding a total of 1.3 million customers during the quarter.  [Thanks Jeff W.]
