imageJust off from private-beta ZumoDrive service is now available to public. At first glance, ZumoDrive is another file sync online service. But when you drill down, it differs from other services with the below features:

  • This is not a file synchronization, ZumoDrive is basically your file depository located on the cloud. It appears as your local drive for instant access (you can open and start using while it downloads in the background). Client agent needed on each device (Windows, Mac, iPhone, etc.)
  • The most frequent used files are downloaded and stay on your computer (if space available) for offline use.
  • Perfect for iPhone, Netbook with very limited storage capacity
  • Can upload your entire iTunes library to instant play back or your Photo directory from devices.

To start, you can get 1GB for free but larger capacity offerings are paid services (e.g. 200gb for $60 monthly).

Thanks for the information. You may be interested to know that Telstra – Australia’s biggest telco has just announced (on 17th August) a $500m investment into cloud computing which is pretty huge.
