Google’s Street view of UK goes live

Google is adding UK and the Netherlands to the list of countries that its Street View service allows users to browse a selection of pictures taken along city streets.

imageThe service covers 25 UK cities from Aberdeen to Southampton The imagery available comprises video taken along 22,369 miles of UK streets by Google customized camera cars.

Google Maps users can zoom in to a given location and then drag the "Pegman" icon above the zoom bar on to a given street.

This is so cool.
You can loose hours playing with this.

There are many other countries available. Just zoom out the map to see the whole globe and try to drop the yellow men to a place in the map. As soon as you drag the yellow men to the map area, the available areas will be highlighted in blue.
