Has O2 snatched the Palm Pre from Vodafone?

While we know Sprint has secured its exclusivity to carry the Palm Pre sometime before June 09 in the US. In Europe and the rest of the world, things are not quite settled.

Reports claim that O2 parent Telefonica may have agreed a deal for exclusive rights on the Palm Pre, leaving Vodafone, which were widely understood to have the contract, empty handed. If the deal goes through, Telefonica will also have exclusive rights on the much anticipated handset in the UK, Spain and Latin America. [Source ITPro UK]
