imageWhen Microsoft introduced Windows Mobile 6.5 at MWC, the famous trademark of the interface was the program launcher with icon placement in a honeycomb grid. The feedback of such has not been quite positive based on internal testing.

At  MIX09 this week, for the first time, after a product has been shown publicly, Microsoft has decided to change the interface. The icons are getting larger and the honeycomb grid is gone. And the scrolling action also got a minor tweak. Lifting the finger will stop the scrolling action.

In the screencast below (Silveright required)  entitled "Windows Mobile 6.5 Overview" , the presenter mentions the changes (6:60)
