Microsoft unleashes IE 8 in few hours

Thursday, March 19 the GA (General Availability) version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 will be available for download starting 9 a.m. PST (Redmond, Washington time).  Windows users with automatic update turned on will not get the update automatically.

The race for speedy JavaScript engines continues with the battle between Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox. As Microsoft realized its browser market share has continuously eroded to rivals. The development efforts have been accelerated in recent months.
