MySpace Mobile embraces Windows Mobile

image MySpace is working on a Windows Mobile app to provide near desktop experience on a phone. The app will be available on Windows Mobile version 6.1 (or 6.5) phone by summer’s end.

The app then will be featured on Microsoft Windows Marketplace. Some committed manufacturers such HTC and LG will install the app on their new Windows phones.

Since MySpace endorses Microsoft Silverlight for their application platform. I am not so sure if Windows Mobile will have Silverlight support by then.

In the other hand, the Facebook IM chat client for Windows image Mobile phones has been released by our friends at XDA-Developer. The application allows users to access Facebook from their handheld and instant message with  online friends. Facebook IM also lets you upload photos and videos directly from your device to Facebook as well as update your status. New chat message notification, new inbox message notification is available. Since it’s integrated with the mobile website for Facebook at m.facebook.com, you can easily follow up on the notifications you receive by browsing to the mobile site. The application is touch-friendly and requires .NET CF 3.5 to run. [Credit find Sarah Perez]

Facebook IM is available now on the XDA-Developers forum – you can download it from here.
