Wireless Charging on iPhone (and others) is coming
So far only Palm Pre offers the Touchstone accessory, which allows wireless (I prefer to call plug-less) charging the device. The Touchstone costs $70 and can only be used with the Palm Pre.
A more universal plug-less charging solution from WildCharge will be soon available including iPhone support. The offering consists of a gel skin inductor with a small connector to the device and a charger pad. With the gel skin on, placing the device on the pad will charge the device. The iPhone charging skin and charger pad combination costs $80, which is more expensive than the Touchstone, however, WildCharge system works with other devices, such as the BlackBerry Curve and Pearl as well as the Motorola RAZR phone.
The iPod touch skin is available now, with the iPhone version available "in early July," WildCharge officials said. [Via PCWorld]
