image Apple and carrier restrict the use of 3G (cellphone network) for many apps by mandating as WiFi only. But if you are away from any WiFi hotspots, the new 3G Unrestrictor utility tricks the iPhone to  recognize GPRS/EDGE and 3G data connections as Wi-Fi connections.

Therefore apps such Skype, Fring, SlingPlayer, YouTube, etc.. can be used your 3G network. The utility also enables application/podcast downloads over 10MB and watch high quality YouTube videos over 3G.

Features:
You can for example while on 3G/EDGE/GRPS:

  • Make free calls using VoIP software like Skype, Fring, Truphone and others
  • Watch TV with SlingPlayer
  • Watch high quality YouTube Videos, just like on WiFi
  • Download apps bigger than 10MB
  • Download podcasts bigger than 10MB

The app is available (Jailbreak required) HERE ($2)
