We often receive invitation from friends to view their photo album, while you can download pictures as you select one by one, there has not been an easy way to download all the pictures from that album at once. The popular Downloadthemall Firefox extension seems to be broken after Google upgraded to 3.0. Fortunately I ran across this small utility called picasa-webalbums-assistant

Not really working so well on my Powerbook. can’t get it to load the username I want to download.
I didn’t realize this was necessary. If you use Picasa you can select download from the album thumbnail view and download all the pics at once.
here’s a non java version that downloads single/multiple picasa albums.
