Last Friday Mozilla released their latest Firefox 3.6 Alpha to the field. The new release codenamed Namoroka, after a national park in Madagascar is available for all three platforms Windows/Mac/Linux to download.

imageAccording to the release log, users should expect the badly needed start-up time, time to open a new tab, and responsiveness when interacting with the user interface, improved page-rendering speed, JavaScript improvements using TraceMonkey, new additions for the CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), visual tab previews and behavior tweaks, etc..

Face to the steady improvements of Google Chrome browser, Mozilla will keep up the pace and promises short delay between releases moving forward.

"Unlike the year that passed between Firefox 3 and Firefox 3.5, we expect that this 3.6 release will be released in a small number of months," said Mozilla evangelist Chris Blizzard.
