Google Maps with Better Street View
Google today upgrades its street view Maps with better precision. In the search results for a business, clicking on the street view will show the image of the business with the same red marker seen on the previous map. The ed marker indicates the exact location of the business. This marker will stick to the same location even when you are panning, zooming around or looking for other businesses nearby.
This feature is extremely useful before you leave home to an unfamiliar destination. You can find out exactly how your hotel or the restaurant look like before getting there.
I was hoping that Google would introduce an augmented reality app, that allows you to pinpoint businesses when you are at the location. Just by pointing the iPhone 3G S camera around. We might have to wait a little bit longer.
