iPhone App with Augmented Reality

ParisMetroiPhone, a new software designed to take advantage of the iPhone 3G S capabilities (video camera, GPS sensor, electronic compass, accelerometer) to display location of the nearest Metro (subway) stations and businesses in Paris, just by pointing the camera around. 

The software is believed to be the one of first commercially available on a mobile phone to use augmented reality, a system which superimposes information on to live pictures.

The augmented reality software privides a big step forward to the ultimate navigation and travel guide, where pointing a camera at a landmark shows information about it. or find the nearest businesses (Startbucks, McDonnalds, Taxis)..as shown below.
