Porting iPhone App to Windows Mobile is possible
With the multitude of mobile app platforms that exist today, it must be an absolute arduous tasks for developers to pick and choose which platform they should put effort to develop application. Would it be nice to have tools allowing easy porting app from one platform to another. Evidently all platforms do not have similar hardware capabilities (screen size, supported graphics, touch-screen capacitive, chipset, etc..), but hopefully, they will become more common and ubiquitous on all smartphones in near future.
Few developers at MSDN forums are leading the project to port iPhone app to Windows Mobile platform. There are few challenges along the way due to hardware discrepancies above explained, but in overall, this is a great encouraging start. They just published an technical article on MSDN titled Porting the Amplitude Application from the iPhone to a Windows Mobile Device – a Case Study which outlines the real-world experiences of a developer who ported the popular Amplitude application.
