Web search engines Google, Bing, Yahoo already index the Web at an amazing rate to bring you fairly recent search results. But when it comes to people opinion, sentiment about certain subject, nothing can’t compare to micro-blogging platform such Twitter.  Twitter is producing millions of tweets every minute on every subject you can imagine and this pool of data has become a treasure to traditional search engines.

Today Microsoft entered an agreement with Twitter to allow Bing index  the whole public Twitter stream and made it available to users. Bing offers a beta version at http://bing.com/twitter where you can watch the conversation of most trendy topics as well as any topic you have in mind.

Below is an example of search result using Windows 7 as keyword.

If you want to keep an eye on this topic, you can just watch the Tweets roll in in auto-refresh mode. Or, click on “See more Tweets about…” to go to a page full of Tweets. On that page, you can change the ordering to “Best Match.” Here we arrange Tweets differently. If someone has a lot of followers, his/her Tweet may get ranked higher. If a tweet is exactly the same as other Tweets, it will get ranked lower.
