Netflix Attempting to Complete the Trifecta by Inking Deal for Nintendo’s Wii
Well as I’m sure most of us have read by now that Sony & Netflix, the popular DVD rental service, inked a deal recently to bring streaming media to their PlayStation 3 console.
What you may not have noticed though is that the deal came to fruition about a year after the xbox 360 and Netflix announced their partnership. Apparently there was a year of exclusive use with Xbox consoles that has finally ended.
In the latest report provided by StreamingMedia is that Netflix and Nintendo originally planned to bring the Netflix service to the Wii before the end of this year, and that may still take place, but Nintendo maybe considering holding out on the Netflix service as a new feature on their next generation Wii HD unit which is rumored to be out in early 2010.
