image The best way to provide a tutorials is by using a screencast to show exactly action you perform in front of the screen in normal chronological order. So far I have tried many tools, but today I had a chance to test out this Screenr.com, a free Web base service that truly exceeds my expectations.

Since it is a Web based service, there is no software needed to use. The service wants to ride the wave of Twitter popularity, meaning the service can send an update to Twitter with a link upon completion.

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

You can produce the screencast, by first go to the site http://screenr.com, use your Twitter credential or just start using by clicking recording. An always-on-top adjustable frame will appear, from here bring up whatever you want to show, hit the red button record, and voila..You start your Screencast with audio. Click again to stop.

The service can post a link to your Twitter account or you can very well just use the link of your screencast stored on the site for sharing, download the mp4 file, let the service upload to YouTube if you so desire. The service also graciously provide a well put together embed code for your Web site.

This is a fantastic tool that I surely will be using for my various collaboration projects. Highly recommended.
