image Fox Mobile will be releasing Bitbop,  a video subscription service for major smartphone platforms in coming weeks. For $10/month, users can stream and download over WiFi or 3G network, movies and Television programs from Fox, NBC Universal and Discovery and future partners.

Currently, Apple iTunes is among a very few services that offer movies, TV programs rentals but not subscription service for mobile devices. Microsoft portable player Zune and its marketplace has its own music subscription service but similar to Apple, Zune user can only buy/ rent movies and TV shows. There are chances that the upcoming Windows 7 Phone Series Device will carry the same services.
