DocVerse now a Google Product

5 March, 2010 Posted by As News,Software,WebApp,Windows PC (0) Comment

Today Google announced its acquisition of DocVerse, a startup company founded in 2007 by two former Microsoft employees Shan Sinha and Alex DeNeui. DocVerse provides a plug-in for Microsoft Office most popular programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The plug-in allows bridging the traditional Office suite with the cloud for better collaboration.

DocVerse offers the first ever product to truly enable real-time sharing and editing of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel files. Its key advantage is that it does not require you to learn a new way to work by seamlessly plugging into Microsoft Office.

We expect the acquisition will result in better integration between Google Docs (cloud) and Microsoft Office suite (desktop).
