Happy Nowruz! Persian’s New Year
Spring equinox is arriving as we celebrate the 18th birthday our daughter! I just went out to our back yard and snapped few pictures to share with you.
More importantly, today is also time for Persian world to celebrate the renewal of nature after the slumber of winter. For Persians around the world (Persia includes the countries of Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and portions of western China and northern Iraq), Nowruz celebrations began on Tuesday night marking what’s known as Wednesday Eve (think Christmas and Christmas Eve). They will continue until April 1, the 13th day of spring.
Happy Nowruz from SolSie.com team!
