Mashable’s Pete Cashmore on GeoLocation-based Apps with Bloomberg

Certainly, South by South West (SXSW) event in Austin, Texas, is the incubator of the next hottest things on the Web as we saw real time status update service Twitter was bornin 2007 and starting from last year, carried on to 2010 is Foursquare, which is a social media service that lets users check-in to different venues, earn various badges, leave comments, meet people, etc….

Other players entering to the geo-location space at furious pace are Gowalla, Twitter, Facebook, Foodspotting, Yelp, etc…

Geo-location could be an attractive platform, since it is ready for monetization, which is something that investors are very much interested in. 

Pete Cashmore sat down with Bloomberg’s Cris Valerio to discuss these various aspects and few other trendy topics including future of Mashable.
