Firefox 3.6.4 To Provide Cure for Plug-In Crashes
When a crash occurs when you are browsing the Web using Firefox, your browser reports to Mozilla labs. Based on live statistics, Mozilla reports the latest stable version 3.6.3 crashed at least once for every two active users. Mozilla blames on the plug-ins.
Mozilla just offered Firefox 3.6.4 Beta, which promises to provide better process control and isolation with “uninterrupted browsing for Windows and Linux users when there is a crash in the Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime or Microsoft Silverlight plugins”. Stated by Firefox release note.
If a plugin crashes or freezes, it will not affect the rest of Firefox. You will be able to reload the page to restart the plug-in and try again. You can download the new Firefox 3.6.4 Beta HERE!
