Microsoft’s Teaming Up with Carnegie Mellon on Project Aura
Since Microsoft integrates multi media Zune and gaming Xbox platforms in to its KIN and its upcoming Windows 7 phones. The developers are finding the way to create a different of interaction between people using mobile device and Xbox consoles.
Starting 2010, Microsoft LIVE is teaming with Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center to develop a new project called “Aura”, an avatar-rich app offering meaningful personal expression across Microsoft devices. With Aura, users will experience a more human approach to the actions, information, whereabouts, and statuses of their many friends and followers. Or a “Twitter like approach that goes beyond text, emoticon to express personal sentiments.
The first result of this collaboration will be an an Xbox Avatar-based game that creates a visualization of users on their social networks using their personally created Xbox LIVE Avatars.
