T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide
T-Mobile has posted a teasing page announcing the arrival of the myTouch 3G Slide , a mid-range Android smartphone made by HTC. The phones is accented by a nice, spacious side slider QWERTY keyboard, which be useful for text entry… But do you need it?
The phone reportedly will feature Android 2.1 (with HTC Sense UI), therefore, it should have voice recognition built-in for almost any data entry that requires data input.
In addition, another voice recognition software is also onboard, the Bluetooth compatible software from Nuance, the same company that makes Dragon Dictation for the PC and iPhone. With this software, you can access voice commands through a “Genius Button” for common tasks such making call, invoking online search, dictating email, text, etc… . The speech recognition is also activated when the phone is put in “Driver Mode.”, while driving the “Drive Mode” can also provide traffic related information. And incoming emails, SMS will be read back out loud.
