Twitter @earlybird Debuts

image Last week ReadWriteWeb unveiled a new Twitter’s Twitter account called @earlybird is about to make its debut. Today it just went live with its first tweet.

With this account, Twitter will pass along daily deals to its followers the same way that JetBlue or Dell and many other outlets are using their Twitter accounts to pass along promotions. Twitter will monetize by partnering with others advertisers for these deals.

@Earlybird is the second attempts after the sponsored tweets, which are tweets shown as the first search result relevant to your search terms.

With both methods, “Ads” only served when users specifically express their interest either by following @earlybird or search on Twitter.

Most deals are for US users at start, and will appear in early morning!
