Apple has shown the success of an OS platform depends heavily on the availability of application designed for that platform. There is no exception with the upcoming Google Chrome Web OS, even though the OS is based entirely on a Web browser experience. Google has started promoting its Chrome OS Web store to the developer community.
The giant search company just made available its Web-based app store accessible to developers through Google Code Labs as developer preview.
“Developers can now start uploading apps and experiment with packaging them, installing them in Chrome (using the latest Chrome dev channel) and integrating our payments and user authentication infrastructure,” Google said in its blog post.
