Microsoft has just announced the next version of its Office Suite for Mac 2011 will be available globally in more than 100 countries by the end of October.
The pricings are lined-up with its Windows version counterpart. if customers purchase Office 2008 for Mac, they will be able to upgrade to Office 2011 when it is available at no additional cost through the Microsoft Office for Mac Technology Guarantee Program.
Ttwo versions of the software are offered: a Home and Student edition starting at $119, and a Home and Business edition starting at $199. Packages include PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Messenger.
A Family Pack edition with three installs is $149 for the Home and Student edition; a two-install edition of the Business edition is $279. A special Academic edition, which includes Outlook, Messenger, PowerPoint, Word, Excel will be $99.
