Viewsonic G-Tablet is Coming to a Store Near You

image A new 10” tablet with Android 2.2 is making its way to popular retail outlets in the US, such the Shacks, Wal-Mart, Sams Club, Costco, Seras, etc…. The 10” G-Tablet made by Viewsonic is coming as a graphics capable mobile device differentiating itself from the rest.

Powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2  Dual Cortex A9 chipset. (the G in G-Tablet name certainly denotes Graphics), the G-tablet is aiming multimedia viewing and heavy gaming focused crowds. The Tegra2 is promising snappy multitasking performance, 1080p video playback (HDMI cable included), Flash 10.1 support, and smooth gameplay.

Features include: 10.1” 1024 x 600 capacitive display; front facing 1.3MP camera, microSD slot, Bluetooth, WiFi 801.11 b/g/n, no 3G; 3,500mAH battery delivers approx. 10hr in mixed use. Rumored street price $429 when it hits the store sometime in October.

Even though, Android is an open platform, its mobile OS is free to use but the admission to Android Market place is subjected  to Google certification, and unfortunately the G-Tablet has not yet been blessed. For third party apps, users might have to get help from sideloading method.
