Share Files, Folders, Screen Captures with Uploadr
When you need to share quickly a file, a folder or screen capture,.. you can use Uploadr, a good looking portable app from Localhostr. Portable app meaning you can just download it, unzip to a folder and launch the .exe file when ever you need to run the utility without the need the install the program.
Once launched, you can drag and drop your contents (not exceeding 50MB in size) to Uploadr window and grab the URL for sharing – There is a setting to have the URL auto copied – The URL then can be pasted in to a browser to view (JPG, PNG,..) or to be downloaded – Streaming or embed (MP3) are not allowed – Use the 2 icons located at the bottom to conveniently capture partially or entirely your computer screen or just a window.
You don’t have to register to start using it. Keep in mind that like any free hosting services, your contents are available for a limited time. You can optionally register at Localhostr but I don’t know additional benefits beside the ability to find your contents on the site when they still exist.
Uploadr is a convenient way when you are in a chat session with friends or co-worker and use Uploadr as a mechanism to quickly and conveniently exchange contents.
