RIM is Poking Apple iPad: Showing Off Faster Browsing

image Research in Motion, the maker of Blackberry smartphones and the upcoming playbook just posted a side-by-side comparison video of the company PlayBook tablet and the iPad.

The demo shows a faster Web page loading Playbook and its full Flash support. Granted, there are on the tablet than just Web browsing experience, nevertheless, the demo is impressive.

Announce last September,    RIM Playbook features a 1024 x 600  7” display, the device is measuring less than half an inch thick and weighing less than a pound. It supports 1080p HD video with HDMI out connector for presentations, videos, and Web sites viewing on the larger screen. At the heart is a 1GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. Front and back HD capable cameras 3MP and 5MP respectively.

The OS is developed by QNX team that RIM acquired earlier this year. The OS support Adobe Flash 10.1 with full hardware acceleration, Adobe AIR and HTML5.

The WiFi capable Playbook relies on a Blackberry smartphone to go online with 3G network.

The device will go on sale sometime in the beginning of 2011
