Windows Phone 7 Debuts in the US

After  the European an Asian launch on last October 21, today the first Microsoft Windows Phone 7 handsets will be on sale in the US. The platform will find itself in 30 countries, and across 60 cell phone carriers, by the end of the year.

Only GSM version are available starting today. Customers can get The HTC Surround; the Samsung Focus from AT&T and the HTC HD7 from T-Mobile.  More details of the phones are available HERE!

All the phones will be featuring capacitive touchscreen, 5MP camera, 1GHz  Snapdragon CPU processor, 3 bottom buttons and the Windows Phone 7 OS. The price seems to be similar at $200 with 2-year contracts plus voice and data plans.

This is a new rebirth of the much needed mobile platform from Microsoft. The OS is featuring a new UI concept call Metro with dynamic updated information; strong tie to the company Xbox game platform, and ready for business integration. On the app side, customers will have choice of about approximately 2,000 apps (400 Xbox games) available at launch.
