image YouMail, a service that turns mobile phone voicemail into a "digital secretary" for handling unanswered calls. With personalized greetings, delivery through text or e-mail, voicemail filtering, and voice-to-text transcription,

YouMail just announced the release of a new Android app. The new Android app expands on the previous, much-downloaded version with features such as:

  • YouMail’s smart greetings, which automatically greet callers by name.
  • Selecting and using any greeting users have recorded in the app or recorded and uploaded online.
  • Using greetings selected from the YouMail greetings community at "greetings.youmail.com."
  • Easily switching between status greetings ("I’m on a plane," "I’m at a meeting," etc)

YouMail now optimizes the amount of data used by delivering voicemails in a more compressed format, and has made the app very easy to set up. Users can now choose between smart greetings or recording a greeting when they first use the app, as well as choose to have an email copy of every voicemail sent.

Offering unlimited capacity for voicemail archiving and universal access from any device, the service offers the ultimate voicemail management experience for making recorded messages useful and accessible to Android users.
