Google Map 5.0 with 3D Building, Better Integration with Places & Latitude
At the the D: Dive Into Mobile conference, Andy Rubin, Google Chief Android Architect, shared a glimpse of the version 5.0 of Google Map that is available in the company branded new Nexus S phone.
The new version includes several new features such 3D view of building, new multi-touch gestures, offline caching, and it will utilize vector images instead of tiles.
But the most ambitious feature is the integration with the company location based Places, Navigation and Latitude. Now all are tied together in a seamless way and allows Google to monetizing Android to local business advertisement ecosystem. Version 5.0 will be released shortly for Android phones.
