Skype Opens Video Chat on Mobile (iOS)

imageAs expected, Skype just unleashed the video calling feature on iOS devices with its mobile version 3.0. The feature works over WiFi or 3G, as both ways or just receiving side for the camera-less iPad and 3rd generation iPod Touch.

The client app will enable video chat between iOS devices or iOS and Mac / Windows desktops/ laptops.

Video call from Skype arrives then it would pose a threat to Apple FaceTime. FaceTime users might find Apple solution easier to use but limited to Apple products. With FaceTime, users can just use the phone book and email address to call versus Skype, which requires registration and use nickname for caller ID.
