Vizio Upcoming Mobile Plan Includes Cellphone and Tablet
In the eve of the annual tech Mecca CES launch, Vizio, the Irvine, Calif based company (near SolSie.com headquarters), known for inexpensive flat panel TV’s, has confirmed with the WSJ that it will jump in to the crowded mobile arena with Android based tablet and mobile phone.
Codenamed Via, the tablet will feature an 8” screen, WiFi connectivity, 3 speakers, front facing camera. The phone will feature a 4” screen, front and 5MP rear cameras. Both devices are blessed by Google, so the Android market place will be fully accessible to Via users.
Furtermore, at the Rose Bowl, Vizio chief sales officer Randy Waynick briefly showed of the Via tablet. Waynick was touting about the message “entertainment freedom for all,” while being at the game and watched the video stream of the same game.
