HP WebOS Based Smartphones: Veer and Pre3
Along with the TouchPad announcement are the 2 smartphones the Veer and the Pre3. The flagship is the Pre3, the only name carried over from Palm heritage. The up-slider smartphone gets a larger touchscreen 480×800 3.6”, a more potent 1.2GHz processor and a 5MP camera.
Palm/HP is targeting the Pre 3 as a "business"-class phone, even though it’s got the same body shape as the previous Pres. It has their largest keyboard, a larger 3.6-inch 480×800 display, and a 5-megapixel camera. The phone supports HSPA+ and EVDO for both GSM and CDMA networks; WiFi and 8GB or 32GB of storage. The Pre3 will be available in Summer.
The little sibling called Veer, also having the same form factor with up-slider keyboard, destined to replace the Pixi. The height is 3.5” or the size of a credit card.
The Veer is powered by the 800MHz Qualcomm CPU; 320×400 2.6” display, 8GB of storage.
Accelerometer, proximity, light sensors are on board. The phone supports HSPA+ (GSM)
