Google to Add High Quality Contents on YouTube Channels
In the wake of TV cable provider distribution of mobile apps to their subscribers to watch mainstream contents, YouTube is looking to revamp its site to make it more enticing and more competitive with mainstream TV.
Google is said to invest over $100 million to new contents with high professional quality. These contents will be categorized by channels and featured on the popular YouTube home page.
Regular user generated short videos that have made YouTube, one of the most popular Web destinations continue to be available via browse or search on the site.. Google added already Vevo.com, a music YouTube video centric brand that tied to the site.
Video streaming over Internet continues to see strong grow with initiatives from Hulu, Netflix, Time Warner, Cablevision, Amazon and the recent acquisition of Blockbuster by Dish Network.
It is absolutely crucial for YouTube to leverage its popularity with better and longer contents to make the site more relevant to advertisers.
