Google just twisted it Google.com home page when you access via your mobile browser. You can use Google to search as usual but if you are looking for nearby places, Google just made it easier with new shortcuts to commonly searched local categories, like restaurants, coffee shops and bars, in the form of icons.

Select Restaurant, Coffee, Bars or more (Shopping, ATM.s, Fast Food, Gas Stations,…)  will take you immediately to the list of places surrounding with maps on the upper half showing all locations. The map will self adjust  as you scroll up/down the list.

Another feature that Google introduced today is a way to aggregate suggested search keywords to build a longer search arguments with fewer data entry.

While the improvement is helpful, Google has not unified the mobile experience between its Google Mobile App, Google.com and m.Google.com. Each offers its own capabilities.
