A new voice-powered search app has just been released by Nuance, Dragon Go!

While it is defined as multi-purpose search engine, the results could be quite useful in real life, similar to Apple Siri assistance. The fact that Dragon Go can ping point the results from the main source (CNN, ESPN, Fandango, etc..) based on the type of query and allows users to gather more refined related information elsewhere make it more powerful than Google and Bing voice-powered search.  The voice recognition engine is powerful and accurate during my tests.

Nuance also released previously its impressive useful Dragon dictation, a speech-to-text utility.

After you download and install the free app, you can record an inquiry, for example:
You say:
Crazy, Stupid, Love showtimes” – Dragon Go! delivers you directly to Fandango featuring movie trailers, showtimes and ticket purchasing for your local theaters. As it picks the main source of results for Movie, the source is Fandango, shown as center tab on the top carousel. You can further dig more information from other sources such IMDB, Twitter, Google,Wikipedia, etc.. just slide to that tab.

You say:
”Pizza nearby” – the main tab would be Yelp, etc…

The results can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Safari, email, SMS, etc… by using the share button located on bottom right corner.  You can download the app for free in iTunes app store
