image LogMeIn now offers a free version of its iPad, iPhone app. The app allows access to your Windows or Mac computers conveniently and remotely from your iOS devices.

The accessed computers require to have the free LogMeIn agents installed. Once connected remotely, you can use your iOS device with touch interface instead of your mouse.

The utility facilitates in case emergency need to access to your computer from afar. Expect lag and constant pinch to zoom due to the smaller screen real estate. Good news is you can let your bulky computer home for short trip and get an extra bonus to be able to play Flash contents on your iOS devices.

A subscription-based LogMeIn Pro costs you $12.20 monthly or $69.95 yearly. In addition to remote access, you can drag and drop files and folders between the computer and your iPad, integrating with cloud services like Dropbox and Google Docs, and a new HD video streaming feature available from Windows PCs.

    This software sounds pretty good. I didn’t even know you can access any desktop, remotely from a cell phone.
