Watching TV is getting more social with the latest firmware update from Sony for its high-end BRAVIA TV sets.  Users can play enhanced quality YouTube videos, display Facebook, Twitter ticker on the TV display…

Sony just released a firmware update on the FY11 models of BRAVIA TV that allows TV watchers to keep an eye on their Twitter stream and Facebook ticker in real time, while enjoying their regular TV programs. Clicking on any links, photos, videos in the social streams can enlarge the contents in high-definition.  YouTube widget also gets major improvement in video quality as well. 

Not only viewers can follow their social activities without missing a beat, Sony also allows real time updates using  either Sony Track ID to share the title and artist song played on TV or with an app running on the laptop , from typing a web address to searching for information about the latest movies, it makes entering text on-screen even easier than using your TV remote. The app Remote Keyboard Lite is available for Windows 7 laptops.

This firmware update is available on FY11 models of BRAVIA TV only.
