YouTube, a propriety of Google just got its first major redesign to be consistent with all Google products. The new design feature a new 3 pane home page with the same modern color scheme aiming to simplify and enhance video discovery with strong emphasis on Social.
Users need to sign-in with Gmail credentials for the first time to exploit all features YouTube has to offers. Facebook connect allows users to pull in video posted buy friends from the popular social network.
On the left dark grey sidebar featuring filters with Google+ and Facebook leading the column, followed by existing subscription channels. Further down are various useful filters curated by YouTube with trends, popular, music, entertainment to help new users to further discover the vast video inventory. YouTube also suggests channels that you might like based on taste using predictive intelligence algorithm. Suggested video thumbnails are display on the right pane.
Select the filter on the left pane will display the contents in the middle largest section.
