The low-cost flat screen champion Vizio is planning to introduce Windows powered laptop and all-in-one computers within few months. Orange Count-based Vizio currently offers low-cost Android-based tablet along with its core products flat screen TV, mostly in Costco membership outlets.


In addition to its flashy TV ad campaign during its 2012 Rose Bowl,  Matt McRae, Vizio Chief Technology Officer revealed in an interview with Bloomberg, that his company will  jump in to the home PC market with 2 all-in-one desktops in 24” and 27” display size, 1 15.6” notebook and 2 ultrabooks in 14” and 15.6” screen size. The products aligned with Apple iMac and Macbook Air devices but with focus is on value pricing and multimedia capability as product differentiators.

The details are still scarce at this moment (until CES kicks off) but we believe Vizio will tie its computing products with the company multimedia root in the living room entertainment center, similarly to the IR-remote capability on its Android tablet.
