After a quick teaser from Instagram CEO Kevin Stystrom at SXSW showing an Android version of the most popular photo sharing social network, now the service has made available Web page that you can sign-up for notification. The sign-up page indicates the release is imminent.
Instagram is a fun way to play with photos on the smartphone, it lets users apply artsy effects; format to square aspect ratio, reduce resolution for fast uploading and share across popular social networking sites as well as Instagram’s own network. The service reportedly has over 25 million users, until now only available on iOS platform. Going to Android, we expect a major growth will certainly occurs.
On the iOS version, Instagram recently adds some advanced editing features such Lux (MDR-like) and Tiltshift effects, as well as additional filters. The service promises even more will be added to the Android version.
