When you access Facebook Wi-Fi by checking in, you are directed to your local business’s Facebook Page.”
It is a clever way to give incentive walk-in customer to check-in and “like” the business Facebook page. Doing so, their social graph will be aware of the check-ins and get the business name virally exposed. The more “like” the business gets the more audience it can reach for the next promotion announcement.. And Facebook will also get a boost on local business related ecosystem, which could generate additional revenue to the company.
