Voted as the best smartphone at 2013 CES, the beautifully crafted Xpedia Z will have a tablet sibling called Xpera Tablet Z. The 10.1” tablet body features a 6.9mm thick casing, which is even thinner than the iPad mini. The device is dustproof and waterproof similar to the Xperia Z smartphone. The details are still very scarce for the time being. The tablet is said to feature a less than stellar 1.5MHz quad-core processor, an 8.1-megapixel camera and Android 4.1. The available colors are black and white.
The thin casing would certainly have negative impact on battery life that where the company’s Stamina technology will play to mitigate. Availability is planned for Spring, first in Japan.
